VEUVE CLICQUOT POLO MATCH LOS ANGELES 2021 / #VCPOLOCLASSIC

Our favorite event of the entire year - the Veuve Clicquot Polo Match in Los Angeles.  This was our fifth year attending and I can't think of a better excuse for mom + dad's first trip away.  Typically, we make a long weekend of it with reservations at all of our favorite spots and mix a little work / play.  This time, since it was out first time away from Linen, we arrived in LA on Friday and were home by Sunday evening to put her to bed.  It's funny how things change, but even funnier how they don't.  Even 72 hours away felt like such a retreat and the Veuve Clicquot event was such a beautiful part of that.  After a year and a half of a pandemic + a newborn baby, a little time away and a change of scenery is exactly what we needed.

After our posts over the years, and specially from the weekend, a lot of you have asked about how to attend the event.  Late Summer each year, Veuve Clicquot announces their date for the Los Angeles Polo Match (typically there's a New York Polo Match in June, too, but the LA event is always in October) and tickets go on sale around September.  There are different ticketed sections you can purchase: General Admission, the Rosè Garden, or La Grande Dame.  Each have their own specific price tag, but I know they offer exclusive availability to American Express Cardholders first and foremost.  The last three years, we've been fortunate enough to attend in the section that's considered 'friends of the brand' and we're so grateful for the relationship we've cultivated with the VC team over the years.  Prior to that, we were in the Rosè Garden and it's just as stunning!  Worth every penny, in my opinion - it's such a beautiful, lust worthy event.  The Veuve Clicquot team really pours their heart into every detail and it shows!

By far, our favorite part of the day, is toasting with our sweet friends Bob + Jenn.  We've attended the event together, arriving from different coasts, each year and it's such a special tradition.  Other than various work trips or visits to each other's cities, it's oftentimes the only time of year we get to see each other.  Jenn and I actually met for the first time at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Match.  We instantly connected over our love for champagne, but even more so, on a soul level.  She and Bob are two of the most down to earth, beautiful (inside and out) people we know.  So easy to be around and we have so much in common.  Attending the event with them each year is our highlight for sure - I'm always so grateful when work relationships turn into genuine friendships and doing life together.

Mom + Dad's first trip away was one for the books!  We stayed at Sunset Tower, lounged by the pool, had a date night at our favorite, the Tower Bar within our hotel, ordered room service (my love language), attended the Polo Match, reconnected with friends over champagne, and packed as much as we possibly could into a weekend away.

I'll be sharing another round up later this week with more photos from our weekend getaway, as well as outfit details.  John and I both wanted to wear linen, of course - I loved the simplicity of my dress, yet the full skirt + bows really made it stand out.  From style to silhouette, it's so feminine and classic.  The brand is new to me, but since so many of their styles are 100% linen, I trusted that the quality would be great and it was!  I've purchased another dress since this one and I'm really happy with both!  I always love adding a new brand to my closet, especially with price points that won't break the bank, but the materials + quality are exceptional.  Linking my #VCPoloMatch look from this year for you below!

Thank you so much to Veuve Clicquot for inviting us back to the event this year - we're so grateful.
